Is there anyone else still waiting for AF after Depo?

Hi all,
Just wondered if there was anyone else around who still hasnt had an AF after stopping the depo?
My last depo was 17 Dec 07, which ran out on 10 March 08, its been 23wks and 6 days since my last depo was due and still no AF.
Ive tried Norethisterone, and didnt get a withdrawal bleed, and my blood tests were all fine, so just gotta wait now!
Is there any one else the same?
Or is there anyone who has a positive story?

Hi. I was only on Depo for 6 months and it took a year for my periods to come back. Even when they did nothing happened for ages. But dont worry its not impossible Im 14 weeks along now. It will happen with time.

My AF took 6months to come back after 1depo injec and even then it wasnt a propper one! In the past year I’v had 6 visits from AF lol. Only the last 2 have been real and in my normal 28day cycle.

Hi,
I came off depo a few years ago, was on it for 2 years. It took about 1 year for my period to return. Sorry hun. Everyone is different though. It can be in your system for about a year after coming off it.
Im sure it will appear soon, dont worry.

I was on depo for for about 4 years and stopped about 2.5 years ago. Went onto Cerazette too afterwards for about 8 months. Took a year for periods to come back which is a long time. But wasn’t ttc at that point so don’t know if the doc could have done anything to help them back to normal – good luck xx

Forgot to put in my last post, id be on it before and it took about 8 months from the last depo to get my period back. Its been just over 8 months since last depo so hopefully soon, just wondered if there was anyone else out there in the same boat??

Nope sorry but I was on depo until June 07. I was advised by FPC that can take up to a year averagely to get out of your system but sometimes up to 2 so came off onto cerazette which I have just stopped in June 2008.
I was told that doen’t make too much difference how long you have been on it, 3 months or 3 years (I was about 7 years) it can still take sometime to wear off.

Hopefully wont be too long now. Docs cant do any more for me, my bloods are ok and norethisterone didnt work, so they are just making me wait now. I really really want to arrive more than ever!! At least then i will be able to TTC properly!!
